PLEASE DO NOT STOP OR DROP OFF CHILDREN ON ZIG-ZAGS AND DOUBLE YELLOW LINES.
Rights Respecting Article 19 – The right to be safe and to be kept safe from harm.
I am sure you would agree that the right to be kept safe from harm is one of the most important rights for children. We take this very seriously and ask parents not to park or drop off on yellow lines around the school or block our neighbours’ drives. After a recent visit from PCSO Andrew Brown he has reported the following:
“Whilst on duty outside the school, local officers witnessed two vehicles contravening Double Yellow Lines restrictions. The lines are there for safety reasons and that is to ensure vehicles do not park on or near the junction, which enables the children to attend school in a safe manner. Local Police will be contacting the Traffic Enforcement camera van for regular patrols to be conducted and to take a zero tolerance policy on offending drivers.”
Please be aware that the Traffic Enforcement Department do make spot visits to all schools.
